The first and third beautiful antique Turkish towels were made and embroidered during the 19th century in Turkey.
The second towel was made and embroidered with wool on linen during the 20th century. The latter two also have metallic threads.
The first embroidery features vine with floral-like motifs that are geometric in feeling. The color includes rose, indigo, green, dusty brown
cream and black on a tan colored ground.
The second embroidery features vines of flowers, leaves and buds, in tones of blue, red, cream, brown, and tan with metallic gold thread
on a cream colored ground. There is a lovely tonal strip woven into the linen.
The third towel features brightly colored geometric shape in tones of red, violet, blue, pink,teal-green, dusty blue
russet, silver metallic thread on a natural linen colored ground. There are brown stripes woven into the linen.
This medium -heavy weight Turkish towels would be great for patchwork or other sewing projects.
They'd also be lovely framed!.
The fabric measures 1.) 16 inches in width by 17 3/4 inches in length.
2.) 13 inches X 18 inches
3.) 16 inches X 5 1/2 inches
This is antique fabric.
There are stains here and there throughout the pieces.
